Ililani Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to supporting ʻohana in Hawaiʻi impacted by cancer through the provision of unexpected blessings and resources.

ILILANI FOUNDATION

Ililani means "unexpected rain" in ‘Ōlelo Hawai‘i (the Hawaiian Language). In Hawaiian culture, rain carries deep significance and can be a symbol of both challenges and a blessing.

Receiving a cancer diagnosis can feel like facing a dark storm. The Ililani Foundation is dedicated to bring the unexpected rain of blessings filled with hope, aloha, and support to kama‘āina (local) cancer survivors and their ʻohana.

The three pillars of rain in our logo represent the three ways we share aloha and care for families across Hawai‘i:

Resources

We provide practical resources, gift cards, makana (gifts), and helpful information to support and educate patients and their families as they navigate cancer treatment and recovery.

Relief Care: ‘Ohana Fun Day

We support adult cancer patients undergoing treatment by hosting personalized ‘Ohana Fun Days - a day of joy and fun for the whole family. Through partnerships with local businesses, who we lovingly call our Magic Makers, families can choose activities and experiences they’ll enjoy, creating special moments and lasting memories together.

Our partners provide makana (gifts) such as meals, activities, clothing, bags, gift cards, and other thoughtful items - reminders that their community cares, stands with them, and wants to bring them joy during difficult times.

*We aim to serve kama‘āina families in Hawai‘i who may be facing financial challenges, offering care that extends to their immediate ‘ohana, including keiki (children) 18 and under.

Scholarships

In the future, we hope to provide scholarships for higher education and trade school to support socio-economically challenged keiki in Hawai‘i who have lost a parent to cancer.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

BE A MAGIC MAKER!

Ililani Foundation provides resources, makana [gift], and ‘Ohana Fun Day experiences to families affected by cancer, made possible through the generosity of private donors, businesses, and community organizations.

Our partners are magic makers who make everything we do possible. We’d love for you to join us, whether through a monthly donation, a one-time gift, or any amount you feel inspired to give. Your support helps us to share aloha and bring encouragement, support, and joy to cancer patients and their ‘ohana across Hawai‘i.

If your business offers goods or services such as activities, meals, clothing, bags, or gift cards, we’d love to collaborate! By donating or partnering, you help bless local families with moments of rest, fun, and connection. Every gesture, big or small, creates magic.

LET’S MAKE MAGIC HAPPEN!

Mahalo for considering the opportunity to join us in this meaningful mission. Together, we get to share aloha, create a meaningful impact and make a difference in the lives of others.
