Ililani Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to supporting ʻohana in Hawaiʻi impacted by cancer through the provision of unexpected blessings and resources.
ILILANI FOUNDATION
Ililani means "unexpected rain" in ‘Ōlelo Hawai‘i (the Hawaiian Language). In Hawaiian culture, rain carries deep significance and can be a symbol of both hardship and a blessing.
Receiving a cancer diagnosis can feel like facing a dark storm. The Ililani Foundation is here to bring unexpected blessings of hope and support to every patient and their ʻohana.
The three pillars of rain in our logo represent the three ways we aim to support families:
Resources: We provide resources and information to help educate and benefit patients and their families.
Relief Care: ‘Ohana Fun Day - Supporting adult cancer patients undergoing treatment with a personalized Fun Day for the whole ‘Ohana. Through partnerships and collaboration with our partners and local businesses, who we call MAGIC MAKERS, we offer families the opportunity to choose activities and experiences they’ll love, creating special moments and lasting memories together.
We partner with local businesses in Hawai‘i to provide makana (gifts), such as clothing, bags, gift cards, and other locally made products, offering families heartfelt items that remind them their community cares and stands with them, bringing them joy during difficult times.
We focus on socioeconomically challenged communities in Hawai‘i, particularly within the AANHPI community (Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander), extending our care to their immediate ‘ohana, including keiki (18 and under)
Scholarships: We provide scholarships for higher education and trade school assistance to socio-economically challenged AANHPI keiki who have lost a parent to cancer.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Ililani Foundation provides resources, ‘ohana fun day events, and educational assistance to families affected by cancer thanks to the generosity of private donors, businesses, and organizations.
Our partners are magic makers who make everything we do possible.
We would love for you to partner with us, whether through a monthly financial donation, a one-time gift, or any amount you feel inspired to give. Your support can make a real difference for cancer patients and their young ‘ohana in Hawai‘i.
If your business offers clothing, bags, gift cards, or other products, we’d love to collaborate with you to bless ‘ohana in need. By donating your products, you can help bring joy and relief to those navigating the challenges of cancer. Whether it’s a small gesture or a large contribution, your generosity can make a huge difference.
Every contribution is tax-deductible, and we ensure that every dollar is used wisely and transparently. Mahalo (thank you) for considering the opportunity to join us in this significant mission. Together, we can create a meaningful impact and make a difference in the lives of others. LET’S MAKE MAGIC HAPPEN!
Follow us on Instagram or Facebook for resources to share with cancer survivors and families, to hear stories from us and other survivors, and to stay updated on the ‘ohana we’re supporting, all made possible by your generosity.
